Inspired by tried and tested theories from across the ages and around the globe, our curriculum is carefully drafted to the needs of the children. Keeping the minimum learning competencies for each age level, the teaching-learning process works towards developing the children’s Cognitive, Socio-Emotional and Physical development. This amalgamated wholesome curriculum draws from the theories of Friedrich Fröbel (known as the Father of Kindergarten), Howard Gardner (Multiple Intelligences), Reggio Emilia, Maria Montessori and Benjamin Bloom.
The pedagogy at Nirah is progressive and dynamic. Our Play-based approach supports each child’s unique learning style, and the joyful indoor and outdoor transactions are steered to enable learning that is both self-directed and facilitated. The 21st Century Skills mentioned in the National Education Policy (NEP) and the Transversal Skills and Competencies of the Finnish Education System have been seamlessly woven into the fabric of our pedagogy.
The importance of questioning and inquiry has been long recognised as crucial to developing essential thinking skills in children. A very important and significant “tool” adopted by our pedagogy is the 5W1H method of learning (Why, What, Who, When, Where, How). A concept that lies at the heart of Inquiry-Based Learning, this method leads children to approach each concept from multiple angles and perspectives.
This method is also used in the Finnish Phenomenon Based Learning process. Resulting in the development of Transversal Skills and Competencies that prepare children for an unknown and uncertain future, this pedagogical approach fosters a 360º understanding of concepts and phenomena.
Nirah’s core values are finely woven into the Curriculum and Pedagogy. By ‘walking the talk’ we instil them in our little ones. Through action and not words, these core values are internalised by each member of the Nirah Family.
Contemporary and progressive, the curriculum at Nirah Early Years is further complemented by its association with the following curriculum experts in their Field:

Nirah’s canvas awaits the child’s creativity and imagination. Here, the principles of BaLA (Building as a Learning Aid) and Reggio Emilia's Third Teacher blend seamlessly, crafting environments that are safe, enriching, and curiosity-driven. We're not just a preschool; we're a cradle for future citizens—caring, confident, and courageous. At Nirah, we champion each child's journey towards independence, nurturing their innate desire to learn, discover, and become their best selves in a world that awaits their touch.
We wholeheartedly believe that a healthy body fosters a healthy mind. That's why our meals are more than just food; they're a fusion of nutrition and delight.
Our menu, planned by nutrition experts and thoughtfully designed by Nutrition Consultant Sanchita Daswani, is a harmony of taste and wholesomeness, with organic ingredients at its heart, supporting your child’s growth and well-being. (Click below to explore the full menu.)
Excitingly, some of our ingredients come straight from our own gardens, tenderly nurtured by our little Earth Ambassadors. Every dish, freshly prepared, is an adventure in healthy eating, shared weekly with parents.
At Nirah Early Years, every child's safety and security are cradled with utmost care. Our haven is vigilantly watched over with comprehensive CC TV surveillance, ensuring peace of mind. Our devoted team, spanning academic to auxiliary staff, is expertly trained not only in childcare and safety protocols for emergencies like fire and natural disasters but also in administering first aid. We prioritise the mental and physical well-being of our young learners, regularly enriching their lives with expert-led sessions. Committed to a secure environment, we diligently adhere to the POSH and POCSO Acts, safeguarding the joyful innocence of childhood.
Passion for teaching and learning, with an unconditional love for children, unite our team at Nirah Early Years. Recognising each child’s individuality, we tailor a world of wonder to spark their innate curiosity. Through nurturing support, we build confidence, fostering a joyful urge to explore and learn.
